Warning: This article discusses suicide, which may be distressing for some readers.

A woman who claims to have ‘died and went to hell’ has bravely shared the horrifying things she says she saw before being rescued.

Tamara Laroux, a writer and devoted Christian, has spoken about her extraordinary out-of-body experiences of both heaven and hell.

These events unfolded after she attempted to take her own life as a teenager.

Speaking to CBN, Tamara traced the roots of her depression back to her childhood.

She explained that growing up in a ‘broken home’ after her parents divorced left her feeling a profound fear of rejection.

The emotional scars from this period deeply affected her, and by the time she was 15, she felt consumed by loneliness.

She began to see herself as a ‘burden,’ as reported by IGV, and spiraled into despair.

Tamara shared that she became utterly convinced life could never be truly happy.

She felt determined to end her pain, stating: “If I couldn’t live happy, I didn’t want to live at all.”

In her darkest and most hopeless moment, Tamara decided to bring her suffering to an end.

As she took this desperate step, she recalled breaking down, crying, and screaming to God, begging for forgiveness.

What happened next, she believes, was nothing short of a miracle.

Tamara remembered losing both her sight and hearing due to her actions.

She described the feeling vividly, saying: “I knew that death was gripping my soul.”

During this time, she felt her very ‘soul’ leave her physical body and the earthly realm.

Suddenly, Tamara found herself in what she described as a place of unimaginable torment—a hellish dimension filled with suffering.

She saw other souls burning in agony and heard their unending screams of pain.

Reflecting on the horror of the experience, she said: “It was so hideous and terrifying… there was no way to describe the level of pain that I was experiencing,” and added: “It was hell.”

Just when the anguish seemed endless, she described how the ‘hand of God’ appeared and plucked her from this place, rescuing her from the torment.

After being saved, Tamara’s journey continued, taking her to a beautiful and peaceful place she believes was heaven.

She described this heavenly realm as ‘gorgeous’ and filled with serenity, but she was told she couldn’t stay there.

God’s hand then guided her back to her injured physical body.

Doctors later informed Tamara that the bullet she used to end her life miraculously missed her heart by less than a quarter of an inch.

The experience left her forever changed. She said the ordeal brought her a sense of being ‘cleansed’ and feeling ‘joy for the first time.’

Since that life-altering experience, Tamara’s faith has grown even deeper.

In 2018, she published her first book, A Second Chance at Heaven, sharing her story with the world.

Today, she dedicates her life to spreading her belief that ‘eternity is real’ and that the choices we make in this life determine whether we go to heaven or hell.
