Following the backlash, Ranveer issued a public apology, acknowledging his mistake and promising to be more mindful of his words. However, as his apology video circulated online, internet users discovered another shocking detail—the controversial joke wasn’t even his own.

Viral Video Exposes Ranveer’s Joke as Plagiarized

Ranveer’s troubles didn’t end with the backlash. Netizens unearthed a video proving that his joke was copied from another YouTube show. A user on X (formerly Twitter), “SuperBhakt3,” shared a clip suggesting that Ranveer’s remarks were not original but taken from a show created by a YouTube group called The OG Crew.

The original video, uploaded two weeks before Ranveer’s episode aired, features YouTuber Sammy Walsh asking a similar question in a segment titled Truth or Drink, a game where participants must either answer uncomfortable questions or take a drink.

One X user posted the video with the caption:

Ranveer Allahbadia was aware of what he was going to say- it was a well-prepared skit copied from an English show! It was not an accident or a slip of the tongue! Don’t accept his apology because it was not a mistake! Watch! #Beerbiceps.”

Netizens React to the Revelation

The revelation that Ranveer copied his controversial joke sparked a fresh wave of criticism. Social media was flooded with comments mocking him:

  • “Turns out even his most disgusting words weren’t original.”
  • “Oh! He stole the script, LOL.”
  • “The joke is on those who think he ever says anything original.”
  • “@BeerBicepsGuy, just a coincidence, right?”

Another user criticized the scripted nature of the joke:

“They knew exactly what they were doing. If this was spontaneous, I could understand. But this was recorded, edited, and promoted—they knew the impact it would have.”

One user sarcastically commented:

“Damn, he copied this too? Is there anything original about this guy?”

Ranveer Allahbadia’s Apology for His Remarks

Following the controversy, Ranveer issued an apology, stating:

“My comment was not just inappropriate; it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am here to apologize. Many of you questioned if this is how I wish to use my platform, and the answer is no. I’m not going to justify or explain myself—I take full responsibility. I had a lapse in judgment, and it was not cool on my part.”

The Joke That Sparked the Uproar

For those unaware, during his appearance as a judge on India’s Got Latent, alongside Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), Ranveer posed a highly inappropriate question to a contestant:

“Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?”

The question immediately triggered outrage, with viewers slamming both Ranveer and the show for its lack of sensitivity.
