Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, recently faced severe backlash after making a controversial comment on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. His remark, which involved an inappropriate question about “parents’ sex,” sparked outrage and led to multiple FIRs being filed against him.
Ranveer’s Apology and Response
Following the controversy, an audience member named Mohit, who was present during the live show, revealed that Ranveer apologized to the contestant four times. He also hugged the contestant to ensure there were no hard feelings. Mohit shared:
“Ranveer made the joke, but after saying it, he immediately apologized multiple times, asking, ‘Sorry, I hope you didn’t feel bad.’ While an apology might not undo the impact, he made sure the contestant was comfortable. Samay also checked on him, and after the contestant won, they all celebrated together. Ranveer hugged him and reassured him again, saying, ‘You okay? Sorry if the joke upset you.’ Samay also cheered him on, calling his performance ‘crazy.’”
Ranveer Addresses the Backlash
In response to the outrage, Ranveer issued a statement, acknowledging his mistake and expressing deep regret for his insensitive remark. He wrote:
“My team and I are fully cooperating with the authorities. I take full responsibility for my words and sincerely apologize. I should have been more mindful.”
However, he also revealed that he has been receiving death threats, stating:
“People are threatening to kill me and harm my family. Some have even entered my mother’s clinic, pretending to be patients. I’m scared, but I have full faith in the police and the judicial system.”
Samay Raina Deletes Show Episodes
In the wake of the controversy, Samay Raina has deleted all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube.
