Did Virat Kohli Cut Ties?

Reports indicate that Ranveer has lost nearly 8,000 followers in the wake of the controversy, according to an influencer marketing firm. However, the most notable unfollow appears to be from Indian cricket star Virat Kohli. A widely shared screenshot of Kohli’s Instagram following list suggests that he has severed ties with Ranveer, further fueling online discussions.

Social Media Reactions

The viral screenshot has sparked a wave of reactions across various social media platforms. Many users believe Kohli’s move reflects his stance on the issue, while others speculate whether the unfollow was coincidental or deliberate.

Legal Troubles Mount for Ranveer Allahbadia

The controversy has escalated beyond online backlash. An FIR has been registered against Ranveer, Samay Raina, and others associated with India’s Got Latent, including Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and the show’s producers. Authorities have summoned Ranveer for questioning, and he is expected to record his statement in the coming days.

In response to the backlash, Ranveer issued a public apology, stating that his intention was only to entertain. The controversial episode has since been removed from YouTube, with Samay announcing that all India’s Got Latent videos have been taken down from his channel.

Assam Police Issues Summons

The controversy has also attracted legal scrutiny from the Assam Police, which issued fresh summons to Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and others. The case was filed with the Guwahati Crime Branch on February 10, following a complaint by Alok Boruah, a Guwahati resident, who accused the YouTubers of engaging in sexually explicit and vulgar discussions on the show, allegedly violating public decency and morality.

A senior Assam Police official confirmed that a team had been dispatched to Mumbai to investigate. “We have issued summons to Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahbadia, and further investigation is underway,” the official told ANI.

As the controversy continues to unfold, all eyes remain on the legal proceedings and how it may impact Ranveer Allahbadia’s career.
