Bill Burr didn’t mince words when he shared his thoughts on the state of wealth inequality in America, taking direct aim at billionaires.

The comedian went on a passionate rant during his podcast earlier this week, making it clear that he has serious issues with the wealthiest individuals in the country.

While some people on social media were quick to agree with his frustration – calling his words ‘fking right’ while others thought his take was completely off base. One user wrote: “There is a lot of work being done and Bill is doing none of it.”

Speaking on his Monday Morning Podcast, Burr said: “The amount of people who are struggling out there because of these f**king billionaires.”

He continued by pointing out the division among everyday people: “And they got us all arguing, liberal and conservative, we gotta stop doing that.”

Expressing his frustration with the current state of things, he added: “Like I am so tired of hearing about people going to bed worried about what is going to happen next week.”

Burr kept the energy high, going on to say: “There is so much f**king money in this country and there is so much work being done, you know.”

He didn’t stop there, he further emphasized: “And if you work a full f**king week at a job, you should be able to pay your f**king rent.”

He also added another strong point: “You shouldn’t have to go out and get another f**king job and still be struggling.”

As he continued his rant, Burr justified his stance before delivering the part that would really spark debate.

He went on to say: “It’s bad for the country because then the kids don’t see their parents so they are not getting the upbringing that they need.”

And he didn’t hold back with his final remark: “These f**king billionaires, they need to be put down like rabid dogs, they are like rabid with f**king greed, just going out and dividing everybody.”

While most people didn’t take Burr’s words as a literal call for violence, many still took issue with the fact that he was the one delivering this message.

Given his own success and reported $20 million net worth, some found his stance hypocritical.

As expected, his comments ignited a heated debate online, with users passionately weighing in.

One person commented: “Hey Bill, I don’t even have $200K to my name. Maybe donate to me if you feel like rich people need to help out… oh wait, you’re probably one of those ‘as long as it’s not my money, it should be handed out freely’ people huh.”

Another chimed in with: “It’s the politicians not the billionaires. Now some of them are evil. But, politicians make the laws that create this. Bill Burr biggest disappointment of the last couple years.”

However, others stood by Burr’s words, with one person arguing: “Exactly. For years the rebuttal has been ‘work harder’, ‘get more skilled’, ‘they don’t deserve’ because of whatever reason and now we come to find out, they were just stealing it.”

And another adding their support: “I love Bill Burr because he talks the truth. The rich elite need to be brought down a peg or two.”
